Cookies Policy
This page explains what cookies are, the types we use on our site and what each one is for. It also sets out how to change your choices in our cookie notice or in your browser, and what to expect if you turn cookies off.

What cookies are and why we use them
A cookie is a small text file that a site places on your device when you visit. It allows the site to recognise your browser on later page loads and on later visits, so that your settings, your signed-in session and your progress through a form are not lost each time a new page opens.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way, including pixels, tags, browser local storage and software kits inside our mobile apps. Where this policy says cookies, it covers those technologies too.
We use them for four broad purposes: to run the site and keep your account secure, to remember the choices you make, to understand how our pages perform, and to measure how players reach us. The first purpose is unavoidable if the site is to work at all. The rest are optional, and the decision is yours.
Some cookies also support the checks we are required to complete as the holder of a gaming licence, including age and identity verification and the correct display of the safer gambling tools on your account.
Our services are for over-18s only
Our site is open to adults aged 18 or over. Cookies help us apply the age and account checks we must carry out before you can deposit or play, which is why a small set of them cannot be switched off.
The types of cookies we use
The cookies on our site fall into the four categories below. Each description explains the purpose we use the category for rather than the supplier that sets it, because the suppliers behind a category can change over time.
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the site working and your account safe. They are set because you asked for a page or a service, so they do not depend on your consent and cannot be turned off through our cookie notice.
- Keeping you signed in as you move between pages, and signing you out after a period of inactivity.
- Spreading traffic across our servers so pages continue to load at busy times.
- Carrying you safely through the steps in the cashier and in the account verification process.
- Detecting unusual sign-in attempts and other signs of fraud or account takeover.
- Remembering the cookie choices you have already made, so you are not asked again on every page.
Performance and analytics cookies
These tell us how the site is used, in aggregate. They show us which pages are opened most, where a page loads slowly, and where a form is abandoned part way through, so that we can fix the problem. We use the results to improve the site, not to build a profile of you by name.
Functionality cookies
These remember the preferences you set, so the site behaves the way you left it. Examples include your language, your display and sound settings, a live chat conversation that you want to continue, and a notice you have already dismissed so it does not reappear on every visit.
Marketing cookies
These measure how well our advertising works and limit how often you see the same message. They can record that you arrived from a particular campaign or partner, and that an advert led to a registration, so that fees are paid correctly. We only set them if you accept this category.
| Category | What we use it for | Set without your consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in, security, cashier and verification steps | Yes, the site cannot run without them |
| Performance and analytics | Page speed, errors and aggregated usage figures | No |
| Functionality | Language, display preferences and live chat | No |
| Marketing | Campaign measurement and advertising frequency | No |
How to manage your cookie choices
You can control optional cookies in two places: in our cookie notice, and in the settings of the browser you are using.
In the cookie notice on our site
- On your first visit, our cookie notice appears and asks what you want to allow.
- Accept all categories, reject everything that is not strictly necessary, or open the settings and choose category by category.
- Save your choice. It applies to the browser and device you are using at the time.
- To change it later, open the cookie settings option in the footer of any page and set the categories again.
In your browser
Every current browser lets you see and control cookies from its settings or privacy menu. The exact wording differs between browsers, but the usual options are:
- Delete cookies that are already stored on the device.
- Block all cookies, or block only those set by third parties.
- Clear cookies automatically each time you close the browser.
- Browse in a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when the window closes.
- Send a general privacy or tracking preference signal to the sites you visit.
Browser settings and our cookie notice both work per browser and per device. If you use a phone and a laptop, or two browsers on the same computer, set your choices in each of them. Clearing your cookies also clears the record of your previous choice, so the notice will ask you again.
What happens if you block cookies
Turning off optional categories is safe and the site will still work. Blocking all cookies at browser level is different, because it also blocks the strictly necessary ones. You should then expect some or all of the following:
- You may not be able to sign in, or you may be signed out as soon as you open another page.
- Deposits, withdrawals and the document upload steps for account verification may not complete.
- Preferences such as language and display settings will reset on every visit.
- Messages and notices you have dismissed will keep reappearing.
- Some pages may load slowly, show an error or fail to load.
Necessary cookies cannot be switched off here
Our cookie notice does not offer an option to disable strictly necessary cookies, because the account, payment and security functions depend on them. If you block them in your browser, you will not be able to use your account with us.
Cookie settings have no effect on the safer gambling tools on your account. A deposit limit, loss limit, time-out or self-exclusion is held against your account, not your browser, so it stays in place whatever you clear or block. Free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, and you can self-exclude from licensed online operators in Great Britain through GamStop.
Changes to this policy and how to reach us
We update this page when the cookies we use change, when we add a service that relies on them, or when the rules that apply to us are revised. The current version is always the one published here, with the date shown at the top of the page. Where a change affects the optional categories, our cookie notice will ask for your choice again.
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know more about how a particular category is used, write to us at support@casinowinthere.co.uk or start a live chat from any page while you are signed in. Please tell us which browser and device you are using, as that helps us answer accurately.
Before you contact us
If a page is behaving oddly, clearing your cookies for our site and signing in again fixes most problems. If it does not, send us a short description of what you did and what you saw, and we will look into it.
