Accepting these terms and how we change them

These terms are a legal agreement between you and us. In this document, we, us and our mean Winthere Casino, and you and your mean the person who holds the account. By registering an account, making a deposit or placing any stake, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to be bound by them.

These terms do not stand alone. The following also form part of your agreement with us, and where a specific document says something more detailed about a subject, that document applies to it:

  • our privacy policy and cookie notice, which explain how we handle your personal data
  • the terms published with each bonus, free spin offer or promotion
  • the rules, paytables and help screens of the individual games
  • our safer gambling information and the limits and tools shown in your account

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the law or in our regulatory obligations, a change to our payment or bonus arrangements, or a change in how the site works. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you by e-mail to your registered address or by a notice on the site before it takes effect. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page. If you continue to use your account after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you may close your account and withdraw any available balance, subject to the checks described below.

If anything here is unclear

Ask us before you deposit. You can use the live chat on the site or write to support@casinowinthere.co.uk, and we will explain how a term works in practice.

Who can hold an account with us

Our services are for adults only. You must be 18 or over to register, deposit or play. Allowing anyone under 18 to gamble is a serious matter, and we carry out age checks on every account. If we find that an account holder is under 18, we will close the account, void all stakes and winnings, and return the deposited funds.

By opening an account you confirm that:

  • you are 18 or over and legally permitted to gamble where you live
  • you are resident in the United Kingdom and are opening the account for yourself
  • you are acting on your own behalf and not for or with funds belonging to anyone else
  • you are not currently self-excluded with us or registered with the national self-exclusion scheme, GamStop
  • the details you give us are true, complete and your own

One account per person

You may hold one account only. If we identify more than one account belonging to the same person, we may treat the first account as the only valid one, close the others, and remove any bonus funds and winnings that arose from the duplicate accounts. Deposits made into a closed duplicate account remain yours and will be returned once our checks are complete.

Keeping your details accurate

Please keep your name, address, date of birth, e-mail address and telephone number up to date in your account settings. Details that do not match the documents or payment methods you use can delay a withdrawal, and persistently inaccurate information may lead us to suspend the account.

Keeping your login safe

Your username and password are personal to you. Do not share them, do not let anyone else play on your account, and take care when using a shared or public device. Tell us straight away if you think someone else knows your login details, and we will secure the account. Until you tell us, activity carried out with your login is treated as your own, unless it happened because of a failure on our side.

Verification of your identity and your funds

We hold a gaming licence and are required to verify the identity and age of every customer and to keep those checks up to date. We may ask for documents when you register, before your first withdrawal, or at any later point.

Before we process your first withdrawal we will complete checks on your identity, your age and your address. We normally ask for:

  1. photographic identification showing your name and date of birth
  2. a recent document confirming the address registered on your account
  3. evidence that the payment method you have used belongs to you

Where we are required to do so, for example because of the size or pattern of your deposits, we will also carry out source-of-funds checks and ask you to show where the money you are gambling with has come from. We may limit deposits, withdrawals or play while these checks are in progress. Everything you send us is handled in line with our privacy policy and kept only as long as we are required to keep it.

If checks cannot be completed

We may suspend your account and hold a withdrawal where we are unable to verify your identity, age, address or source of funds. In that situation we will return your deposited balance to its source where we are permitted and required to do so.

Deposits, withdrawals and bonus rules

Paying money in

You may deposit using the methods shown in the cashier. The money must be your own and must come from a payment method held in your name. We do not provide credit, and an account with us is not a savings or investment account. The minimum and maximum amounts, any fees and the expected processing times are those shown in the cashier at the time you pay.

Taking money out

Where it is possible, withdrawals go back to the method you deposited with. Where that is not possible, we will pay you by another method in your name. Withdrawal requests may sit in a pending state while we complete our checks, and the limits that apply to you are the limits shown in your account and in the cashier.

TopicWhat applies
Available methodsThe deposit and withdrawal methods listed in the cashier
Amounts and feesThe minimums, maximums and any fees shown in the cashier
TimingOur processing time shown in the cashier, plus the time your own provider takes
Where funds are sentBack to your deposit method where possible, otherwise to another method in your name

Bonuses and promotions

Every offer we run has its own terms, published with the offer itself, and those terms sit alongside this page. Before you take a bonus, please go through them. They will normally tell you:

  • the wagering requirement and which games count towards it
  • the maximum stake allowed while bonus funds are active
  • how long you have to use the bonus before it expires
  • any cap on the amount that can be converted into withdrawable cash
  • whether a deposit is needed to qualify

Promotions are offered in good faith and for ordinary play. Where we find that an offer has been misused, we may remove the bonus and any winnings from it and close the account. Misuse includes using more than one account, acting together with other players, using stake patterns designed only to clear a wagering requirement with little risk, and playing above the maximum stake while bonus funds are active. Your own deposited balance stays payable to you, subject to our checks.

Safer gambling tools and self-exclusion

Gambling should stay affordable and under your control. In your account you can set deposit limits, set loss or stake limits, turn on reality checks, take a short time-out, or self-exclude for a longer fixed period. A request to lower a limit takes effect as soon as we can apply it; a request to raise one takes effect only after a cooling-off period. During a self-exclusion we close access to play, stop sending you marketing and return any available balance.

GamStop lets you self-exclude from all online operators licensed in Great Britain in one step. Free, confidential advice and treatment are available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline. Our services are for players aged 18 and over only.

Closing an account, complaints and the law that applies

Closing or suspending an account

You can close your account at any time in your account settings or by writing to support@casinowinthere.co.uk, and we will return your available balance once our checks are complete. We may suspend or close an account where you have broken these terms, where the information you gave us is wrong, where our checks cannot be completed, where we suspect fraud, collusion or money laundering, where staff are treated abusively, or where the law requires it. If there has been no login or play for an extended period, we may treat the account as dormant and close it after writing to your registered e-mail address; any balance remains yours and we will arrange to return it.

Complaints and disputes

If something has gone wrong, tell us first. Use the live chat on the site or write to support@casinowinthere.co.uk with your account name, what happened and the dates involved. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it and give you an answer within a reasonable time, keeping you updated if we need longer. If you are not satisfied with our final answer, you can refer the matter free of charge to an independent dispute resolution provider, and we will tell you how to do that when we send you that answer.

Our responsibility to you

We provide the site and the games with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise that the service will never be interrupted. We are not responsible for losses caused by your own internet connection, device or software, or by events outside our reasonable control. If a game, display or balance malfunctions, the affected plays and any resulting payouts are void, and we will correct the position. We are not liable for indirect losses or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep any rights you have under the law that applies where you live. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply, and if we do not enforce a term straight away, we do not give up the right to do so later.
